This page explains what happens to the information you send us through this website. It is written in plain English on purpose.
Who we are
Stephenson Consultants, contactable at james@stephensonconsultants.co.uk. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect
If you fill in the enquiry form, we receive:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your business name, if you give it
- Your phone number, if you give it
- Whatever you write in the message field
If you book a call, that booking is handled by Google Calendar and you provide your name and email address to Google as part of it.
Why we have it, and for how long
We use it for one thing: to reply to you and, if it goes further, to carry out work you have asked us to do. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking. We keep enquiries for as long as there is a live conversation, and for up to two years afterwards in case you come back to us.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interest — you contacted a business expecting a reply — or the steps leading to a contract, where you go on to engage us.
Who else sees it
- Resend — delivers the enquiry form to our inbox as an email.
- Google — provides the calendar booking and our email.
- Vercel — hosts this website and provides privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, which is why this site has no cookie banner.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email james@stephensonconsultants.co.ukand we will deal with it within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
